MINUTES OF MEETING HELD 31 st August 2007

 

1 The meeting opened at 1945 hrs.

Apologies from Phil Tilley and Tony Turner

2 The following members were present

Colin Burridge, Bob Pochin, Joe Heffernan, Tanky Turner, Martin Kilby, Mark Holyoak, Sean Morrow and George Hughes

3 The meeting discussed the various activities that where on the cards the first being Duxford (Royal Anglian Gathering) which was attended by many of our branch and our branch standard was paraded for the first time. (A special vote of thanks to the ladies for providing a buffet big enough to feed a battalion) and to Joe who did us proud carrying the standard. A good day was had by all.

4 Subs are overdue for the year 2007 and need to be paid to the treasurer as soon as possible.

5 The feedback from the Regimental weekend has all been in favour of the new venue and setup. This venue has already been booked again for 2008.

6 The regimental secretary has now left for pastures new, and we are awaiting news of his successor.

7 We are still looking at ways of improving both our membership and social activities and are looking at A Quiz night and a visit to The Great Western Hotel are our next two likely events details to follow shortly.

8 The meeting closed at 2020 hrs and the date of the next meeting is Sept 28 th at 1930 hrs.
